This weather has been ugly. Right now, it is 38° outside, and very overcast. It looks like it wants to snow, but it isn’t snowing. This is our forecast, courtesy of The Weather Channel: FORECAST. Apparently, it’s supposed to be ugly all week. I don’t like that. I would like some sun.
It’s still too cold for any spring growth in my yard. There are a few grape hyacinths poking some leaves up, though. That’s a good sign.
I had a whole tree full of Cedar Waxwings the other day, but the light was bad (it was overcast…go figure), so my photos weren’t very good. I hadn’t ever seen a Cedar Waxwing before, but when I called my mom, she knew just what they were. They have little bandito masks, and bright yellow tips on their tails. Here they are – I hope you can see them:
I am ready for spring.
Hi, all readers. I am testing this out, to see what it is like. I welcome all comments, ANY time!
Here’s what I did today: a little lake skating. I am really happy that it’s cold enough to skate this year! It looks like I am just walking on top of the snow, but the snow is only about 1 inch deep, and the ice underneath was perfect and smooth, and skating through the snow was no trouble at all.
I am trying some thumbnails now, but they are going up to the top of the page. I will have to figure out how to move them.
