Here Comes Winter!

I know you all know how much I HATE the cold season.  So, I’m sure you can guess how excited I am that it’s getting cold, and it is now December.   We are in St. George for a few days, running away from the cold.  It’s not TOO much warmer here than home, but it’s enough.

Today, we rode our bikes.  We rode a trail that was new to both of us…Church Rocks.  Seems an appropriate name for a St. George area trail.  To get there, we rode on the Coral Canyon (paved) bike path for a little way.  I liked the path and the trail both a lot.  The Coral Canyon path is the one you see along the freeway (Interstate 15) on the east side a few miles before getting to St. George.  Here are a couple pics of me from today, and one of the two of us.

The first one features the ‘Church Rocks’ that the trail is named for in the background.

In other news…I failed to post in October this year.  I don’t like to do that, but sometimes things get busy.  🙂

Thanks for reading, and commenting!

  • Glad you guys had a great time! I’m glad you both got to meet my friend Taylor while you were here, too. Love you, Ma!

  • Was there a little tooth gritting going on in your serious-face photo? The trail did look very sandy in the photo. The picture of you and Rich is terrific!

  • I looked at the first pic before reading and couldn’t figure out for the life of me where that trail was in Moab! Ha ha…St. George huh? 🙂 Looks fun! Enjoy…

  • Love the Pictures, especially the one of the two of you. Looks like you had a good time.

  • Nice photos. The cold is OK as long as it doesn’t stay around too long, like it did last winter. Ugh! Follow the warmth whenever you can.

    • We try to follow the warmth, Lorraine. Sometimes, it’s not as easy as it seems. 😛 We’re hoping it’s a mild winter this year, since as you said…last winter was ugly.

  • Looks a lot warmer than Portland. We had a cold snap the last couple of weeks, we don’t usually have days hovering around freezing in November. Charlie, Patrick, and my mom were in town and they were really freezing after coming from 80 degree Los Angeles. I think Charlie is having second thoughts about retiring here! Today was better – although up to 42, with lots of rain.

  • Good pictures. It must be great to take the bikes out in the wide open spaces. What scenery you two have seen. Enjoy it now while you can,.
